Screw the tail piece directly to the bottom of the drain. Slide the rubber washer and the jamb nut on the end of the tailpiece until flush with the bottom of the sink.

Insert the kitchen sink plumbing parts between the back and the inlet tube drains. You may have to loosen the jamb nut (step 2 above) to give the piece of tail game enough so you can slide the trap in place. Tighten the couplings by hand. If necessary, you can cut the tail piece with a saw if it is too long. Sand any rough edges with sandpaper medium grain.
